Job Description

Looking for a System Support Administrator (Remote) in either NJ or PA.

Our company is looking for a Systems Support Administrator (Remote) - This role will act as a point of contact for technology issues and support. They will be responsible for data gathering, troubleshooting and problem resolution. The Systems Support Admin will configure hardware and software for end users as needed. They will also partner with Collocations and 3rd party vendors to identify and develop long term solutions and make recommendations to senior management on software and infrastructure needs. The right candidate will be a self-starter and demonstrates initiative; they should work well on their own and as part of a team.

Responsibilities and essential job functions:

  • Provide remote technical support and solutions across multiple companies, networks and domains to end users. Resolve applications, networking, PC, and peripheral issues.
  • Responsible for hardware/software setup and configuration. This includes imaging laptops.
  • Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange management experience required. (Setting up new users, email accounts, distribution groups and OUs.)
  • Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting MS Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 and MS RDP Environment.
  • Purchase, track and maintain inventory of IT equipment
  • Administration of Voice and data communications
  • Maintain support documentation, including technical configuration information and process flows.
  • Resolve issues working with other System Support Admin team members and cross-departmental teams, application developers, vendors, network and database administrators.
  • Solve moderately complex problem situations and participate in the identification of opportunities for improvement to processes, procedures, or tools.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast pace and ever-changing environment.
  • Must be flexible - Willing to work on call after-hours rotation. Willing to do some travel.

Job Requirements:

3+ years working in a Help Desk or System Support Admin role

3+ years working with Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Exchange

1-3 years’ Microsoft Office 365 management experience

1-3 years’ experience working with PowerShell

1-3 years’ experience working with Group Policy Management

Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Visio)

Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely and on-premises

Working knowledge of troubleshooting basic to complex hardware issues

Working knowledge of troubleshooting basic network (bandwidth/connectivity) issues

Excellent communication skills

Following Experience - A Plus!:

Knowledge of Cisco network appliances

Knowledge of VoIP phone products

A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE, MCITP, MCTS certified

Azure Administrator Associate certified
