We seek employees who are passionate about serving and making a difference in the lives of others.Eckerd Connects' Girls Short-Term Juvenile Justice Residential Program is a gender responsive, complete rehabilitative experience delivered in 4 to 6 months for girls ages 13-17.
This 20-bed program is for girls who are referred by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (DJJ). evidence-based practices with a strong family transition component and signifies a public-private partnership with the Division of Juvenile Justice which has produced an innovative shift in the way youth are served in North Carolina's juvenile justice system. Intensive, short-term services include individualized treatment and academic plans that combine formal and experiential education, community service, behavioral health, and family counseling in a non-punitive environment designed to address the youth's behavioral challenges through a strength-based approach. Youth also receive accredited educational services on-site and work together in small group settings with assigned counselors.Girls Residential Academy at Kerr Lake633 Shepards Way Lane | Manson, NC 27553Please copy and paste the link for more information about this program:Duties and Responsibilities Provides coaching, mentoring, mental health, and substance abuse services to youth and families in the program, including assessments, treatment planning, therapy, crisis intervention, and family counseling.
Therapeutic sessions will promote growth, positive development, developmental milestones, and supports safety, permanency and wellbeing. As necessary, position may also provide clinical oversight of the provision of mental health and substance abuse services by non-licensed clinical staff members. Coursework or practicum experience in group work, family therapy, and/or substance abuse treatment is preferred. Two years progressive clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary treatment setting required. Prior experience with juvenile treatment population preferred.
