The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of individualized mental health services for participants in the workforce development programs. He/she will provide ongoing assessment and evaluation of the young adult population, assist with the creation of Individual Service Strategies (ISS), and develop service coordination plans as needed. He/she will offer ongoing individual and group counseling; referrals and targeted support services; coaching and mentoring; life skills building workshops and support groups on relevant topics for the out-of-school youth population; and crisis intervention. The Licensed Mental Health Professional must display initiative, exercise judgment and make decisions consistent with program goals and funding regulations. He/she will also assist with recruitment, orientation, follow-up and retention, as needed. Additionally, he/she will assist the Area and Program Managers with staff training on relevant topics. He/she may be responsible to conduct family outreach and engagement as needed. He/she will be responsible for consistent and proper documentation of all mental health and related services.
