Eastridge Workforce Solutions is now hiring a Diesel Mechanic for our client's location at Clearwater, FL (shop and field). This position is integral to the overall maintenance strategy, aims to carry out the maintenance program at the direction of the Equipment Superintendent and Maintenance Director.
Shift: Start time between the hours of 5am and 7am Monday through Friday
Essential Job Accountabilities:
•Performs preventive maintenance schedules, required inspections, and winterization procedures.
•Responds to equipment repair needs, in the field, as required by conducting and/or coordinating repair activities.
•Corrects vehicle and equipment deficiencies by replacing, repairing, or adjusting sub-assemblies.
•Possesses a working knowledge of lining-specific and industry-specific equipment. (Relevant experience can be considered)
•Verifies all adjustments or repairs.
•Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
•Maintains assigned vehicle appearance, if assigned, by cleaning and washing.
•Maintains vehicle records by documenting all services and repairs and filing them on-site.
•Updates and improves technical knowledge and ability by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulatory publications.
•Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle and /or equipment maintenance and repair
•Ability to work outside normal working hours.
•Class B CDL (minimum)
