Job Description

East Memphis law firm is seeking to hire candidates for various real estate positions. All positions are full time with work hours between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as necessary. Positions available are as follows:

PRE-CLOSER - The pre-closer is responsible for obtaining payoffs, estoppel letters, taxes and various other administrative items necessary to prepare for closing. This position requires strong and accurate attention to detail along with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, high volume environment. Candidates for this role must also possess the ability to communicate with clients in a professional manner. Desired Qualifications: 1-3+ years of real estate pre-closing experience; Possess knowledge of legal documents with the ability to analyze and evaluate documents as it relates to closings; Software Experience in Qualia is preferred but not required.

CLOSER – The closer will preferably be experienced in residential real estate closings and will assist with drafting and reviewing residential real estate closing documents, monitoring and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and any other administrative tasks as needed. ​Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with HUD forms and procedures; Ability to prioritize and multitask; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Deadline and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high volume environment.

TITLE ABSTRACTOR - The candidate we are seeking will have experience performing title searches in Shelby and DeSoto County. Also, experience searching public records and/or various databases to ascertain information for determining title to property, as well as the validity and priority of any encumbrances.

Duties will include but are not limited to: Reviewing recorded documents such as mortgages, liens and easements, as well as responsible for title clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with national title underwriting guidelines
  • Extremely detail-oriented personality
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • Experience with Qualia is a plus

· High school diploma or equivalent is required and salary is commensurate with experience.
