An audiology technician for Watauga Hearing is responsible for completing hearing evaluations and tests on patients for the audiologists. This position also completes hearing aid cleanings and equipment troubleshooting and performance checks prior to the patient being seen by an audiologist. The technician completes minor hearing aid repairs and coordinates sending hearing aids to the manufacturer for repairs when needed. Audiology technicians must possess excellent communication skills, superior interpersonal and customer relations skills, and consistently provide extraordinary attention to detail and accuracy. The position supports the mission of the practice by providing the highest level of quality, comprehensive, compassionate, patient-centered hearing health care for individuals of all ages. On-the-job training is provided for candidates having clinical experience but lacking specific skills in audiology.
