MD/OD ophthalmology group that is looking to expand with a comprehensive ophthalmologist. The practice enjoys a robust patient base and great surgical volumes. A new surgeon will be able to get busy quickly and have a full day of surgery very shortly after starting that will grow into 2 OR days per week. Unlike many practices in California, Optometrists in the practice will co-manage patients with the surgeons when appropriate. Surgical cases will be primarily cataracts and pterygiums.
The new associate will be at the main clinic site only and do surgery in the practice owned surgery center. With the diverse patient population there will be quite a bit of pathology seen in the clinic. All associates are provide tech support as well as a scribe at all times.
Overall the practice does everything it can to make their physicians clinics run smoothly and efficiently and is very flexible with time off and schedules. There is no hospital call required either and optometrists in the practice are the first line of call before the physicians.
