Our client is currently seeking a Process Automation Project Manager managing technology projects related to a manufacturing or process plant environment.

Job Summary:

A Project Manager managing technology projects related to a manufacturing or process plant environment. Have worked in a manufacturing environment, such as the oil, gas or chemicals industry, and have experience of delivering process automation, Instrumentation & Control, or systems integration projects.  These projects will focus around plant control systems, such as DCS, PLC, SLC, SIS, SCADA, ATG, etc., and cover hardware, software and/or network architecture.

 Must have Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required in engineering, computer science, information systems, or similar. Concentrations in business systems, project management, or other related business fields preferred.
  • 5 -10 years’ experience in the successful delivery of technology projects in a manufacturing or process plant environment, ideally related to process control, manufacturing automation or systems integration.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, and methodologies. Experience of industry best practices including Earned Value, Gantt charting, Critical Path Assessment, and developing Work Breakdown Structures is a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite applications including MS Project and Del-Tek Vision preferred or similar ERP application.
  • Demonstration of leadership and the ability to effectively manage a team, with a proven ability to creatively solve problems as they arise.

Responsibilities:

  • The successful Project Manager will demonstrate experience and proficiency with planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects.
  • You will assist with project proposal generation and will oversee all aspects of the project, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and providing progress reports to keep key stakeholders informed of the status of the assignment.
  • Project Managers are responsible for the execution of assigned projects from the initial meeting with the customer, through project close out. This includes meeting technical requirements, financial objectives, and coordinating project resources. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within the scope of the budget is key.
  • As a Project Manager you will be utilizing appropriate tools and resources to calculate and evaluate project performance and provide necessary feedback to ensure positive project results.
