What we are looking for:

We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist to bring their A game to help us save the world, one package at a time! We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist who is adaptable, diligent, and resourceful to maintain quality standards by inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, finished products; and recording the results. Are you prepared to ensure conformance and quality standards to help us save the world one package at a time?

What you will do:

  • Implement and maintain the management system pertaining to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE)
  • Understand the key principles and requirements of ISO 9001 and have the ability to effectively demonstrate compliance with all applicable requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret regulatory, and governmental regulations
  • Develop and maintain mandatory policies and procedures that meet the requirements of ISO 9001
  • Ability to manage Corrective Actions and non-conformities
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA requirements
  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
  • Understand travel complexities and can take initiative to manage unexpected travel issues
  • Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and facilities
  • Maintain detailed production records of manufacturing issues
  • Takes ownership and responsibility in creating, implementing and ensuring proper follow through of all quality programs
  • Lead in-house training across multiple locations while tailoring training based on specific location needs
  • Communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing and/or managing an ISO program in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous health and safety and/or environmental administration experience
  • ISO implementation experience
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient In creating presentations
  • Possess an exceptional level of organizational, analytical, and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Experience in packaging/assembly line manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to understand and analyze complex information while being able to present it simply and accurately in a format that is easily understandable
  • Basic knowledge of continuous improvement
