What we are looking for:

Are you excited at the opportunity to grow within our company while earning a generous compensation based on your performance? We are currently seeking a Sales Account Manager who can develop and execute strategies to drive profitable business with new and existing customers. Our ideal candidate will be results oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about selling. Candidate ideally will be in or near a major metro area within the Pacific Northwest.

What you will do:

  • Travel within assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers
  • Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally
  • Sell the company’s products or services to customers within your given territory
  • Generate and develop new business to meet specified production goals
  • Maintain, develop and strengthen existing client relationships
  • Respond to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Prepare and present sales proposals
  • Reach agreed upon sales revenue targets by deadline
  • Maintaining accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales
  • Understand and communicate information regarding company products, services, policies, and procedures to new and existing clients
  • Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of sustainable packaging and containers industry product information
  • Continuously gather information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicate information to management and others as needed
  • Consistently follow-up with customers to ensure a high level of customer retention and satisfaction; resolve customer issues and concerns
  • Negotiate contracts and work agreements
  • Ensure that all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time
  • Attend and participate in business/trade events that impact business unit
  • Attend and participate in team strategic sales meetings
  • Oversee designs, innovations, prototypes, and specific solutions for the customer’s
  • Support and comply with all company policies and safety requirements
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of technical sales experience
  • Packaging experience preferred
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Well-developed negotiation, project and account management skills
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to work with all levels of management
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
  • Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient on ERP Systems and or CRM
  • Mechanical aptitude to understand packaging automation and company products
  • An exceptional level of motivation, desire, competitiveness, customer driven focus, time management and multi-tasking
