Position Summary
Position Summary
The Insurance and Benefits Manager is responsible for the complete insurance and pension functions of the Annual Conference and its vital mission partners. The functions of this position include liaising with all constituents relating to insurance and pension issues and supervise the Benefits Assistant in support of EPA recruiting transformational leaders so that we make disciples and grow vital congregations to transform the world.
Essential Functions
• Coordinate local church billing for pension, health, property, workers’ compensation, and
dental so that billing is accurate and concise and all members are aware of their benefits.
• Supervise the Benefits Assistant and work collaboratively as a unit to ensure timely and accurate participant data and historical files so that members are informed and educated on all available benefit options.
• Ensure the upkeep of incoming clergy changes, including change of appointments, service record updates, and clergy address changes in various systems so that records are maintained appropriately and with excellence.
• Liaison with outside entities in relation to plan changes to meet the needs of clergy and local churches so that proper resourcing is available that is current and relevant.
• Support the Executive Director and the Conference Board of Pension and Health Benefits so that critical decisions are made to support the clergy and laity in their eligible benefits plans.
• Work closely with various agencies/companies, Via Benefits, Magellan, Willis (consultants),Wespath Benefits and Investment so that proper protocol and procedures are ensured throughout the Conference for insurance and pension plans.
Organization Responsibilities
· Serve as a participant in projects as assigned
· Serves on the Annual conference Project Team as assigned
· Attend Annual Conference as a member of the Administrative work team.
· Assist in EPA meetings and events
· Cover phones and provide hospitality as needed

Qualification
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
· Three to five years in the insurance and benefits industry
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of equivelent experience
Travel
The position requires some evening and weekend responsibilities and travel within Eastern Pennsylvania.
The position works from the main office in Valley Forge, PA.
