EOC1 is a leading provider of controlled environmental testing and certification services and is adding positions due to continued growth. Our services cover a wide range of industries including hospitals, laboratories, animal research, pharmaceuticals, medical device manufacturing and biotechnology. We hold certifications for CETA Registered Professionals for Sterile Compounding Cleanroom Testing and NSF Accredited Bio-safety Cabinet Field Certifier.
Our Technicians work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision. We are seeking self-starters with good problem solving and customer service skills. This position will primarily cover the state of Iowa. Technicians work out of their home, are provided with a company vehicle and receive reimbursement for overnight travel and meals. Paid training is provided and includes self-study, classroom and on-the-job training in Iowa or other parts of the MidWest. Hours are primarily Monday through Friday with some evening and overnight travel required.
This position will be based primarily in Iowa City, IA and the surrounding areas

Job Responsibilities
- Travel to client sites daily.
- Provide hood and clean-room performance testing services for our clients in Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Academia and Research industries
- Provide testing, troubleshooting, repair and certification of Bio-safety Cabinets and other hood types
- Deliver HEPA/ULPA filter integrity testing, particulate sampling, airflow and velocity testing, room pressure verification, airflow pattern testing
- Prepare and deliver reports to clients
- Successfully interface with clients, managers, and engineering professionals
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma and 1+ year customer service experience
- Basic math skills including knowledge of geometry and algebra
- Demonstrated technical capabilities, preferably with calibration/testing, preventative maintenance, and/or instrumentation repair
- Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office products
- Ability to pass background & drug tests
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to travel based upon project requirements to include overnight travel
- Ability to lift equipment up to 40 lbs., and work in various work environments
Preferred Education and Experience
- BS Degree in the life sciences/mechanical disciplines or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience preferably with clean-room testing, TAB testing or other experience testing airflow or HVAC systems
- NSF-49 Certified Technician and/or CETA Certified
