Job Description

Summary:

The Senior Online Content Analyst will manage, analyze, design, and develop innovative solutions for dissemination of information via internal and external web sites.

Job Responsibilities:

Website design and content management

Create, edit and manage content for one or more websites, through the use of various content management systems to meet corporate and/or division-specific objectives

Coordinate, collaborate and consult with team members, multiple departments, vendors, subject matter experts and other web authors to ensure delivery, understanding, and retention of key information and communications

Develop reports, presentations and documents to support project objectives, and shares these with teams and stakeholders as necessary

Apply specialized knowledge and subject matter expertise to the overall value of the project. Understands the relationship of the project to the goals of the business, and can work autonomously to achieve targeted results

Develop and follow best practices and ensure alignment with company branding for content broadly circulated across the company via external or intranet websites

Projects and project management skills

Lead web content projects of moderate to high visibility and complexity for important team, departmental or corporate initiatives that deliver new online content. Coordinate with internal teams and external resources to produce targeted results

Track key results and processes to assess success, identifying areas for improvement and applying these to future projects

Model excellent project management skills, listening, collaboration, teamwork and negotiation skills to achieve success

Lead projects that may contain confidential or highly time sensitive materials

Fluently present project status and findings to teams, key stakeholders and leadership. Share best practice knowledge and ways in which the customer experience may be enhanced in future projects

Website application and execution

Advise teams and stakeholders on current trends and best practices in metrics analysis and tool/techniques. Quickly learn new tools and adapt to and integrate them into established workflow

Identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvements related to content management and workflow processes. Provide updates to teams and stakeholders who will derive benefit from these improvements

Produce and present analysis for web use as it relates to business needs. Implement and manage regular occurring audits and conduct website assessments on content, functionality and existing requirements for future updates, build outs or migrations

Perform usability testing to ensure customer needs are being met. Monitor and report on web metrics to ensure usability

Resolve technical issues with Web Services.

Mentor, as applicable, Content Analyst/Publishers or less experienced members of team

Be available after normal business hours for site issues, deployment calls and crisis communication needs

Stay abreast of current online copywriting and editing, interactive design, online marketing and web development trends to ensure web communications are engaging and informative for intended audiences

Regularly share these trends with interested teams and stakeholders

Skills/Qualifications:

Experience

6+ years progressively responsible experience in content management system development, web content development and management, leading projects, testing, training, and applications support

Demonstrated expertise in information mapping, web usability concepts and use of web development software, including web content management platforms like Microsoft SharePoint

Intermediate to advanced graphics software skills (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator)

Familiarity to intermediate proficiency with motion graphics editing software like Adobe Flash and Adobe After Effects. Intermediate proficiency with HTML and CSS coding, JavaScript and form creation

Proficient with all relevant Microsoft Office programs and typical OS environments (i.e., Windows, Mac and mobile)

Ability to:

Strong abilities administering web content management (WCM) software

Strong web copywriting/editing skills

Strong organizational and business/functional documentation skills

Issue resolution and trouble shooting skills within a WCM environment

Must be a strategic thinker and be able to anticipate future impacts

Detail oriented and strong analytical abilities

Ability to mentor less senior team members

Ability to work and negotiate with all levels of individuals within the organization

Ability to work and demonstrate leadership in a team environment under tight deadlines with multiple, concurrent deliverables

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Information Systems or related field
