Veteran Recruitment Account Manager

Job Description

Scope of Position: Manage the overall process of recruitment and fulfillment of veterans for open positions. This includes working with the sales, community partner and recruitment teams to determine places to recruit, working with the hiring client to understand their needs and screening potential candidates.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement recruiting processes and initiatives
  • Expand relationships with existing clients and develop relationships with local Healthcare businesses, to develop a network for job placement
  • Obtain all resumes and customer information forms for all veterans (veteran spouse) for review
  • Screen candidates for job openings
  • Assess jobseeker skills and job readiness
  • Enter employer information into all appropriate databases and monitor employer activities
  • Develop contacts at college universities and partner programs
  • Source veteran (or veteran spouse) candidates through cold calling, referral recruiting and online social media networking
  • Work with the Leadership team to plan, implement and track customized recruitment projects to meet the specific needs of each business client in the Healthcare industry
  • Communicate with Leadership and team regarding all postings and openings
  • Maintain a pipeline of veteran (or veteran spouse) candidates per job title
  • Attend job fairs, networking events and information sessions
  • Attend monthly Priority 1 meetings/ phone calls
  • Build and coordinate a pipeline of qualified veteran (or veteran spouse) jobseekers through recruitment events, reengagement of Individual Training Grant customers, Community Based Organization referrals, walk-in traffic, and direct advertising
  • Work with Leadership team to plan, implement and track customized recruitment projects to meet the specific needs of each business client
  • Reach weekly and quarterly goals
  • Track progress for weekly reports
  • Understand, in detail, the needs of business clients in the Healthcare industry regarding their open job opportunities
  • Create, generate and submit job orders
  • Share information with appropriate staff and/or funding agencies.
  • Maintain participant files as specified by funder and scan necessary documents for electronic files

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer systems
  • At least three years of professional experience in recruiting, account management or a related business relationship management capacity
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • A veteran or veteran's spouse with experience in or working knowledge of recruitment is preferred for the role, but not required
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts
  • Demonstrated telephone, computer and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and goals
  • Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor requires
