Job Description
Edible Art Cake Shop is hiring a full time baker to join its Myers Park location in Charlotte, NC. Position offers great hours - no early mornings!
Job Description
- Must understand basic baking methods
- Mix and bake cakes, cookies and cupcakes from scratch
- Make buttercream, royal icing as needed
- Follow detailed recipes and mixing directions
- Monitor proper baking times
- Follow cleanliness/sanitation standards and organization
- Works with a sense of urgency throughout entire work day
- Work with a team and pitch in when needed
- Prepare counter sales items (Cake pops, small cakes, petit fours etc.)
- Basic cake decorating and piping skills
Successful candidates for this position:
- Can handle multiple tasks at one time
- Have good problem solving skills
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Be able to work independently and as a member of a team
- Can communicate professionally in person and on the phone
- Can maintain high energy during the entire shift
- Can work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
- Will have to occasionally relocate up to 50lbs
