VICE PRESIDENT, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (VPIT)

THE OPPORTUNITY

EDI is proud to partner with Heritage Christian Services (HCS) in search of its Vice President of Information Technology (VPIT). This inclusive senior IT leader will play a pivotal role in HCS's focus on recruiting and retaining the best IT workforce to enhance an inclusive organizational culture and climate.

Heritage Christian Services is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, innovative, diverse and/or inclusive leader with strategic responsibilities for information technology. The incumbent will have the opportunity to lead the agency's IT team into an exciting future and have oversight on all IT-related areas. The VPIT is a strategic partner on the senior leadership team, providing guidance, support, and consultation in technological development, innovation, and growth throughout agency.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the CEO and serving as the senior technology leader, the VPIT will provide leadership, vision, and direction for all technologies supporting business strategic plan, department objectives and security requirements. The VPIT will develop and execute on the strategic agenda, modernize IT and implement foundational solutions to support the growth and scale of business priorities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP & OVERSIGHT
  • Provide oversight of the development and management of both organizations' technology infrastructure and applications in a manner that is responsive to the company's business objectives and remains viable over the long-term.
  • Lead the development of software solutions across full lifecycle Agile projects - requirements gathering, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, and rollout.
  • Oversee the maintenance and improvement of operational platforms built on applications such as ADP, iCIMS, Relias, Therap, Blackbaud, and Azure Warehouse environment.
  • Oversee the infrastructure - On-premise, Azure cloud, and Help Desk.
  • Will enable the business intelligence and analytics team to code new reports and dashboards at the request of the business leaders.
  • Actively partner with executive leadership team peers to align technology investments with business initiatives and educate and inform how technology can influence and improve capabilities, decision making and productivity.

PLANNING & STRATEGY
  • Develop and execute IT roadmaps that align technology to HCS growth plan.
  • Evaluate new technology solutions to support corporate or departmental goals and objectives / manage the "new technology onboarding process".
  • Identify and advocate advances and innovations in IT services and determine how they can enhance the performance of business lines and improve agency services.
  • Define growth-oriented policies and processes to build upon and continually evolve the maturity of the Information Technology systems and platforms.

SECURITY | COMPLIANCE | AUDIT
  • Support and maintain a cyber security strategy to protect and secure employee, individual, donor, and other agency information. Leading with a "service first" mentality but never be willing to compromise on security.
  • Working knowledge, understanding, and application of cloud security.
  • Experience with IT Audit and compliance to delegate duties relating to policies and procedures that meet agency standards.

PARTNERSHIP & RELATIONSHIP
  • Identify, select and oversee strategic outsourcing partners, as applicable, to effectively support strategic priorities in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Aid in selecting and managing new vendors and ensuring they are appropriately linked to HCS's business strategy to help us achieve our goals and objectives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee teams responsible for all aspects of Corporate Information Technology systems including desktop services, corporate networking, and a collection of standard business applications.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a highly qualified IT team to support the agency's technological priorities.

REQUIRED
  • Minimum of a 4-year degree
  • 5+ years experience in IT leadership
  • Experience working within the Agile model
  • Experience working within Azure cloud
  • Experience with Project Management
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with the integration of IT supports and data solutions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of experience within the IT field and in a leadership role
  • Master's or Advanced Degree in technology or equivalent experience commensurate with the skills and responsibility of an executive leadership position
  • Certification in areas related to IT, a plus
