Job Description

Non-profit housing agency is seeking a full-time Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as a key member of the senior leadership team. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves as a key member of the senior leadership team consisting of the Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. The COO leads and has overall strategic and operational responsibility for the agency's programs and services. Areas of oversight currently include Rental Assistance Programs, Property Management, Asset Management and Facilities and Inspections. The COO Provides leadership and direction in the alignment and integration of the agency's mission, strategies, systems, processes, and structures to achieve sustained results in program outcomes, customer satisfaction, internal processes, community collaboration, and organizational capacity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The COO will establish agency goals, budget and strategic direction with the Executive Director and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and communicate information with Leadership and Staff.

The COO will oversee the management and coordination of all operational reporting activities for the organization including financial statements, program reports and other performance data to measure efficiency and goal achievement and determine areas in need of financial review and program improvement.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:

A Master's degree with minimum of 5 years of experience in Social Service Administration, Business or related field is required. Experience with senior level organizational management in a non-profit organization is desired. Experience with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program and federal funding is preferred. Strong ability to manage teams and expert business planning skills required. This position requires excellent computer, communication skills, as well as the ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline, as well as excellent time management and organizational skills.
