EAD Engineering is looking for an experienced Project Manager for projects in industrial, processing, institutional and commercial facilities. The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams of process/business experts, engineers and designers to deliver client projects on time, on budget and in scope. They are also the primary point of contact for new clients from the closing of the sale to the successful project execution.


  • Lead small teams of Project Controllers and other project support personnel
  • Manage clients project expectations and requirements
  • Understand and perform critical path analysis
  • Sign client/firm agreement, if legally qualified within the limits of EAD signatory policy
  • Maintains understanding of project financial issues
  • Authorizes billing to client
  • Responsible for project reporting including utilization and project profitability
  • Accountable for project costs, schedules, performance and safety
  • Communications, escalations and resolving complex client issues
  • Acting as point of contact to senior-level client project and executive sponsors
  • Tracking and delivering project metrics
  • Mentoring and coaching team members
  • Report into senior management
  • Lead large, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Responsible for adhering to all EAD's safety standards and practices
  • Lead preparation of proposals including scope definition, schedule development and budget estimates
  • Provide marketing support and assist
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Construction, or Civil Engineering and six years of relevant working experience with advanced knowledge in mechanical engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Six years of experience in project management/execution with an understanding of standard project management processes/procedures
  • PMP certified or committed to obtain it within 12 months
  • High level interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to manage small to large projects
  • Proficient in executing fast tracked projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet project deadlines
  • Scope management and client management skills
  • Engineering consulting firm experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, while being capable of interacting effectively with plant operations from the maintenance level through and including the executive level
  • Must have a proven track record of accomplishments as a project manager or lead engineer on industrial projects and be capable of supervising and directing a team of engineers, contractors, and vendors
  • Working knowledge of excel including macros
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task while working on numerous projects simultaneously at various stages of completion
  • Ability to develop business opportunities
  • Possess and able to maintain a valid driver's license
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project required

Preferred Certifications and skills:

  • Experience in working with Food Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Bioprocess and/or Petrochemical Clients, construction of large industrial plants, or power stations will be advantageous

  • Ability to sit and work at computer for extended periods of time
  • Ability to walk up numerous flights of stairs/ladders multiple times a day and/or work in tight spaces in extreme conditions
  • May work near moving mechanical parts and equipment*
  • Office, Commercial and/or Industrial setting with the potential of exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals*
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.*
  • Periodic weekend, holiday or evening work as needed
  • Travel and/or field experience required

*EAD will provide training, administrative/engineering controls, and personal protective equipment as necessary.
