Sr. Security Engineer *Remote*

Dynamic Systems, Inc. is searching for a Sr. Security Engineer. This engineer must be proficient at systems hardening, security compliance validation, and security documentation. This engineer will support customer security requirements review and validation. This engineer must have experience as a Facilities Security Officer. This job is conducted both by remote access and by on-site visits. This job requires an average of 25% travel.

Under the direction of management:

· Support task definition during project proposals

· Support project scheduling and task management as related to security tasks

· Provide communication on daily activities

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

· Customer-facing position

· Document systems security posture as required to verify security requirements

· Physical and virtual servers (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Windows Server), storage devices, network devices

· Support customer security testing

· Provides input to and often writes security and technical documentation, as required

· Create and update security plans, procedures, and instructions

· Maintain working relationships with government agencies

· Participate in the development and execution of security education programs

· Supervise daily security activities and enforce government and company security policies

· Effective and efficient follow-through and dependable results

· Build good working relationships with internal customers, vendors, and business partners

· Obtain a good understanding of all applications, equipment, and software being used throughout the system

*JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: DoD TS/SCI required

Skills:

· Knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)

· Experience in hardening hardware, operating systems, and Oracle Engineered Solutions

· Knowledge of VMware, Oracle Virtualized Manager, Oracle Linux KVM, Linux, and Windows

· General understanding of networks

· Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills - written and verbal

· Familiarity with Nessus scanning software

· Knowledge of and willingness to write security-related documentation: Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM), System Security Test Plan (SSP), among others

· Driven, success-oriented, flexible, team player able to juggle multiple and changing priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Experience:

· 5-10 years of experience with the following:

· Technology/IT industry

· Security Engineering (Information Assurance) and Systems Administration

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

· One or more of the following certifications: Security+, CISSP, one or more operating systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Understanding of Information Security concepts, infrastructure, and practices

· CISSP

5 years of related experience in the IT Security field
