Preschool Teacher 1: Full Time; 35 hours a week for 42 weeks a year, August to May.

Responsibilities of this position encompass comprehensive facets of early childhood education, including building environments, trusting relationships, and classroom functions to promote children's social-emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. This role follows Head Start Performance Standards and State regulations, ensures healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate practices leads engagement with families, supervises and mentors classroom aides, and ensures the classroom is maintained and secure.

Salary: The hourly wage range is $16.92 to $19.79

Principal applicants must have previous experience working in early childhood with children ages birth through five years and, at a minimum, hold;
  • A higher education degree with 18 credit hours of foundational Early Childhood courses completed, or
  • a current Preschool CDA
    • TCHS offers financial support toward a BA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education.
