Position Title: Account Manager

Summary basic function of the role

The Account Manager will be responsible for growing business for an assigned territory or select customers within a territory and interacting with customers by phone or electronically to increase sales.

Reporting to: Managing Director, Poly Pipe

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Account Manager will work as a member of the sales team and reports to the Managing Director of PolyPipe
  • Managing sales activities: daily/monthly/annual (quotes, RFQ/RFP, day to day sales activities, opportunity management, pricing, customer presentation/packet, lead creation, relation management, client visits
  • Utilize salesforce.com to maintain current account contracts, account planning, project tracking, and forecasting
  • Provide feedback on competition, market trends and pricing levels and identify products or solutions to expand our portfolio to deliver more value to your customers
  • Become proficient at selling the PolyPipe brand
  • Work closely with Customer Service and Inside Sales to grow and develop customer base in your territory
  • Forecast sales by volume for each month for the upcoming 3 months fill out forms and report for management
  • Knowledge on managing business to budget; more data analytics vs just sales
  • Actively participating in posting and promoting PolyPipe on LinkedIn with posts, articles, etc.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to create and deliver executive-ready strategic and business presentations
  • Excellent Interpersonal, written communication, and relationship building skills
  • Able to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in natural gas distribution
  • Able to travel 75% of the time and comfortable and has experience working individually/remotely
  • ~5+ years of Inside/Outside sales experience
  • Able to effectively communicate in a way that captivates audiences (team members and

customers at all levels)

  • Demonstrate business acumen in developing effective business strategies, evaluating businesses, and successfully addressing people/organizational issues/opportunities to improve organizational performance.
  • Must be effective with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Experience resolving customer concerns and providing tangible solutions
  • Internal and external customer relationship management; build and maintain relationships
  • Energetic, resilient, result oriented, entrepreneurial spirit, self-awareness, maturity, irreproachable integrity

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent previous experience is required.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years in outside technical sales role
  • Experience in natural gas distribution

Work Environment

  • Remote home office
  • 75% of travel
