Job Title Area Manager 

FLSA Class Exempt 

Reports To Branch Manager 

Position Summary: The perfect candidate for this position is someone who enjoys helping others grow and develop.  Someone who has a passion to serve the client and individuals working with them.  This position is very important to Dupree Plumbing’s success because they are the reflection of the organization so it is not to be taken lightly.  Dupree Plumbing expects this individual to be of the upmost professional, leading by example and setting the high standard in craftmanship plumbing and service that will continue to elevate Dupree Plumbing to the next level of success. 

Essential Functions: • Assists the Branch Manager in meeting with builders, homeowners, inspectors and subcontractors about any issues and concerns to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner. • Leads, supervises and holds accountable the go-backs and sub-crews to ensure they have the materials needed to complete each job and any issues or concerns they have, are taken care of effectively. • Engages Branch Manager with any staff or crew issues that are of importance. • Completes Job Ready Checklist to verify materials and particulars of job to assist office in pulling the right material’s and schedule correct job start date. • Obtain and approve Job Complete Checklist to ensure job completion and to guarantee proper sub-bill approval for invoice payment. • Defines and communicates issues/opportunities on job site to operations. • Provides and initiates field training to go-backs on how to properly walk a job to ensure sub-crews have completed their work correctly to help reduce additional and future go-backs and warranty issues. • Monitors inspection status for pertinent phases of the job and communicates any issues or concerns to operations. • Responsible for the accurate and efficient completion of pertinent phases of the residential plumbing process.

Requirements: • Must have a thorough knowledge of underground, rough, final and warranty plumbing. • Must be able to lift up to 100lbs. • Must be familiar with a variety of the plumbing industry concepts, practices and procedures. • Must be able to rely on job experience to make sound judgements in the field to ensure job timeliness and craftmanship. • Excellent communication skills • Prior Management experience a plus • The ability to drive exemplary service and workmanship through ongoing training and continuing education • A trustworthy individual with an established track record of being organized, excels at problem solving, and who is dedicated to the overall vision of the organization while leading by example.

Preferred Education and Experience: • Journeyman’s license preferred but must be obtained within two years of employment (Except South Carolina) • Masters license a plus (Except South Carolina) • At least 5-years’ experience in the plumbing or construction industry, with a thorough understanding of all phases of residential plumbing • Highschool diploma or GED preferred • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record a must
