The Systems Administrator position is responsible for providing a broad range of infrastructure services that enhance the efficiency of our technical operations. This position contributes along a broad technology continuum; from providing first tier technical support/maintenance of the laptop/desktop PCs, managing the local office AV infrastructure, to assisting with the infrastructure support of our back office and network architecture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, configure and maintain laptop/desktop systems along with software and hardware peripherals that makeup Duke CE standards.
Serve as the primary resource for training employees on the use of the IT infrastructure.
Provide technical troubleshooting and issue resolution with staff for problems related to the suite of software tools that support the enterprise.
Serve as the primary resource for AV capabilities in the local office.
Serve as the primary resource for asset management efforts in assigned market with active participation with other geographies to ensure availability of resources.
Assist in the maintenance of network hardware, back office servers and related enterprise software.
Participate in 24x7 first tier on-call rotations that monitor the health of locally hosted systems, local networks, WAN links and end user support.
Significantly contribute to the documentation and organization of infrastructure processes.
Serve as a valuable local resource for the Corporate IT organization as it regards implementation, contributions to global decisions and adherence to Firm standards.
Provide project based implementation of systems with little oversight.
Provide proactive analysis and recommendations pertaining to the optimization and enhancements of infrastructure systems in order to improve performance, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
Travel domestically and internationally, as needed, to assist with infrastructure and training tasks.
Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.

Batch files and other automation tools
VPN client support
Microsoft Active Directory
LAN and wireless LAN configuration
Zendesk Helpdesk Ticket Management, Use of Macros

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of related work experience.
