ASE Certified Automotive Technician

Job Description

Duggan’s Auto Service Center is looking for an ASE certified automotive technician to diagnose and repair gas vehicles. The technician will be responsible for correctly diagnosing the customers concerns and performing a multi-point inspection, communicating with the service advisor on needed repairs and correctly repairing the vehicle including test driving vehicles when necessary. The technician will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the shop and shop tools. The technician should also have a basic set of automotive repair tools and the willingness to learn new things.

Required Skills

·         ASE certification

·         Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.

·         Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred

·         Ability to operate various diagnostic and specialty tools.

·         Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.

·         Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electronic components, brakes, suspension, HVAC and other systems on an automobile

·         Must have good written and vocal communication skills.

·         Good problem-solving abilities.
