About The Job

Dudek is currently seeking an on call/as-needed Biologist to join our biological resources team. Project work can occur throughout Oregon. Overnight and out of region travel may be necessary. This position will be a combination of both virtual and office based (as needed) out of the Portland area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Conducting a variety of field surveys and assessments

+ Preparing biological reports and biological resource sections of environmental documents

+ Assisting with resource agency permitting

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, or related natural resources field.

+ Must have a minimum of 5 years professional experience working in the environmental consulting, land use planning and/or resource/regulatory agency sector

+ Project management skills (budget, schedule, client communication)

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with special-status species (plant and/or wildlife) endemic to Oregon

+ Familiarity with Oregon wetland types and systems

+ Experience with biological resources impact analyses and mitigation identification/planning

+ Experience with state and federal regulatory permitting processes, including laws regulated and enforced by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Oregon Regional Water Quality Control Board, and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife

+ Ability to conduct fieldwork in challenging terrain and weather conditions and throughout Oregon

+ Attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team and strong written and oral communication skills
