DuPont's Electronics & Communications business seeks a Tedlar® Unit Manager for the Circleville, Ohio facility.
This Unit Manager position has overall accountability and responsibility for all aspects of performance relating to the Tedlar® organization and Tedlar® manufacturing facilities at the Circleville Site. The Tedlar® unit produces a photo voltaic film used primarily in back sheet applications for solar panels. The Tedlar® unit has -120 DuPont and Contract employees and has a HPWS organizational structure.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
Ensuring systems, processes and structures are in place and responsibility Is properly delegated to continually protect the health and safety of all employees, contractors or visitors that work at or visit the Tedlar® facility at Circleville. Ensuring systems, processes and structures are in place and responsibility Is properly delegated to continually insure compliance with legislation, company standards/policy and environmental permits. Ensuring systems, processes and structures are in place and responsibility Is properlydelegated to continually Insure customers receive quality product, on time and in full. Ensuring systems, processes and structures are In and responsibility place and continually function correctly to effectively plan and manage expenditure versus business goals. Responsible for setting & managing Tedlar® PO and budgets. Ensuring strategic and tactical, processes systems and structures are in place to effectively link with the business environment beyond the site, both internal to DuPont and local agencies or Interest groups. The purpose being to capture and deliver opportunities that will lead to development and growth for the Tedlar® organization. Create and sustain a work culture which promotes Innovation and continuous Improvement In alignment with business and site objectives;' Work effectively with the site management team to promote alignment between the DuPont manufacturing units at the site and maintain a positive profile for the site in the local community. Work effectively with the site management team to identify and execute programs and labor relations policy and practices which benefit the site, site employees and the DuPont businesses that are resident at Circleville. Occasional participation in cross site Operations function work teams or focus groups. Serves as the primary Interface to the Tedlar® business team and Tedlar® Supply Chain Leader.

Knowledge. Skills and Experience: The Incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
Leading work teams in alignment with DuPont Core values. Strong understanding and commitment around operations discipline and PSM. Experience Implementing change using MOC Technology/subtle in an HHP. Experience as an Area Manager/Area Superintendent of at least one other DuPont manufacturing site. Familiar with ISO quality and environmental standards. Experience of EQE quality system is preferable, Fundamental knowledge of a High Performing Work System (HPWS) work environment. Understanding and demonstration of Lean Manufacturing concepts. Coaching/Mentoring listening skills. Able to set boundaries, train then empower organization to lead and make decision (versus micro manager). Strength In teamwork and team building skills and abilities. Strategic thinking skills. Proven leadership and change management skills. Green Belt certified or higher preferred. Cost and capital management experience. Proven experience of utilizing resources and delegating authority in a significant manufacturing organization. Prefer bachelor's degree in engineering or science. Geographically flexible for future broader Operations leadership assignments. Experience with Tedlar® PVF film is preferred.

Experience implementing DPS and LCI/Six Sigma best process in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Demonstrated ability to develop functional contributors and future leaders' ability to get the organizations input and alignment on personnel needs & processes, proceduralize personnel needs into procedures and standards, communicate those standards then consistently hold people accountable to meet agreed to standards.
Physical demands: The nature of this position requires a field presence in addition to standard office duties. Field activities Include climbing stairs and ladders. The Incumbent may also be required to travel on company business to other local or global manufacturing locations
