**STARTING RATE:** **$18.00**
The Hotel Sales Coordinator works closely with the General Manager and Sales Manager to promote and sell guest rooms and meeting facilities by following Sales the Drury Way Procedures in order to build hotel occupancy and revenue. Primary focus is inside sales and includes coordinating meeting room details, incoming inquires, pro-active sales calls for new business, etc. Position may include some travel to assist with Sales Blitz's and other promotional opportunities. Presents a high standard of integrity, service and hospitality at all times to promote the Drury culture to customers and co-workers.
General Knowledge, Skill and Ability
Requires a solid knowledge of sales techniques and business etiquette and practices.
Requires ability to speak English and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
Requires ability to relate to the public in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
Requires solid proficiency in data entry and computer skills, composition of letters and reports, keen attention to detail when composing, typing and reviewing materials, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
Mental and Physical Requirements
EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school. College courses related to sales and marketing preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Requires minimum of 6 months of experience in customer service and/or sales environment.
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Requires ability to walk and stand up to 2 hours regularly. Ability to read a computer screen and operate a computer for an extended period of time.
1. Reports to the General Manager.
2. Maintains and promotes a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departments.
3. Works in conjunction with National Sales Office and other hotel sales personnel.
