Design Estimator

This position is specifically for a 1099 contractor. Most work can be completed from home except for Design Center meetings with clients and other employees.

Job Position Responsibilities:

• Schedule and meet with new clients and Salesperson for initial design meetings
• Design project using company provided, computer aided design software
• Take “Before” and “After” pictures of project areas
• Get accurate measurements of project area for proper design & estimating purposes and save in client file
• Obtain quotes and ETAs from trade partners and material suppliers for the final specifications
• Prepare clear and detailed scope of work specifications for final specifications
• Assist the homeowner in all product selections and save info in client file
• Complete the final project specifications at company determined gross profit margin
• Prepare and complete all contract documents
• Schedule and meet with client to go over final specifications and final agreement documents, obtain signatures and any payments due at that time
• Schedule on-site Pre-Construction Meeting and do the Design-to-Production hand-off
• Complete jobsite checklist with Project Manager
• Keep active, regular communication with clients throughout the Design Process
• Track all client information and progress in the Client Next Step Check List
• Keep up to date on Kitchen and Bathroom design trends and ideas
• Represent DreamMaker with professionalism, accountability, and integrity
• Follow the DreamMaker code of values
• Miscellaneous other items that would fall under the Design Estimator position

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in design, sales or related field
• Or equivalent work experience, 5-10 years in related field and position

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of two years of selling in the Kitchen and Bath Industry
• Experience working with residential trade contractors (plumbing , electrical, HVAC, carpentry, countertops, drywall, tile and flooring)
• Understanding of construction basics
• Basic computer skills in MS Office applications
• Design software experience with 20/20 or equivalent
