We have an opening on our team for a Customer Care and Sales Support Specialist. The right candidate will thrive in supporting the needs of the Senior Herbalist Team while also assisting in daily office clerical tasks. Our Customer Care Team receives and processes incoming orders and credits while giving excellent customer service and growing relationships with our customers. This position also builds relationships and drives growth with our Wholesale accounts.


Core Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Provide excellent customer service to customers via phone, email and chat; process purchase orders, and log information quickly and accurately
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Herbalist and Admin teams (assist with order entry, sample/catalog shipping, etc.)
  • Act as liaison between sales and the customer experience to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Use strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills to find solutions when resolving customer grievances that meet customer and company needs
  • Ability to record and transfer detailed customer and analytical information
  • Continually learn and grow expertise within our products and the herbal products industry
  • Use strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with retail and wholesale accounts. Maintain steady communication to drive sales and foster excitement for Dragon Herbs new item and promotion launches (no cold calling)
  • Exercise strong attention to detail when processing and filing payments.
  • Ensure customer compliance with established standard policies and procedures.

Qualifications for Ideal Candidates:

  • 1-2 years' experience in an administrative sales, call center or operations support role in the nutraceutical or health and wellness industry
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience using ERP software (Netsuite ideally)
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and/or willingness to learn sales methods and techniques
  • Results driven, proactive, with the ability to relate to and work with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Nutritional Certification or equivalent work experience

Ideal Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional Customer Service- Enthusiasm for creating positive experiences for our customers and taking the initiative to go above and beyond.
  • Critical Thinking- Ability to think analytically and strategically (working individually and/or as a team) to find mutual solutions that meet customer and company needs.
  • Data Processing- Working knowledge of sales/customer service software, databases and tools. Confidence in processing information using multiple programs and software (Excel, Outlook, Word, and NST) quickly with a high attention to detail.
  • Time Management Skills- Ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet business needs. This is critical as you will support the success of the Herbalist and Admin departments. Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving work and market environment.
  • Team Player Mindset- Value team success and take initiative to support other team members. Strong client-facing and communication skills with an aptitude for building relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Clerical- Ability to follow administrative procedures. File and organize records quickly and accurately

Working During the Pandemic:

This position requires work in the office for five (5) days a week during trial period and training. Work From Home options available after trial period has been satisfied.
