Overview: Dowell Holding Group, Inc. (DHG, Inc.) was founded in 1999 and is the parent company of multiple import/export operating divisions. The largest division focuses on food service disposables and packaging. Other divisions supply food, wine, industrial products and nutraceuticals. The Account Manager assignment will be within the food service disposables/packaging division but will also have opportunities to work on cross-department development teams. Initially, this person will learn all sales/marketing functions, with the goal of promotion to Senior Account Manager, with applicable outside sales assignments along with added marketing responsibilities. Privately held, DHG, Inc. continues its rapid growth (20%+ annually since inception). Key to this growth is the entrepreneurial spirit of the company and its team members. Responsibilities: • Support/grow the customer experience by delivering prompt responses/action to all customer requests. • Internal and external sales support activity, documentation and follow up. • Handle order entry, confirmations, shipping schedules, invoicing, complaints, returns, quotes and sample requests. • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. • Prepare and ship sample requests • Assist with new account acquisition and penetration of existing accounts. • Prepare and maintain monthly sales reports, dead inventory reports and customer contracts. • Assist in broker/sales team management and support. • Assist the COO with other projects as needed.
Competencies: • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills directed at achievement/results. • Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred. • Ability to work independently and deal with everchanging demands and ambiguity. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both verbally and written. • Must possess strong basic math and grammar skills. • Ability to apply creative problem-solving techniques using sound business judgment. • Ability to work well in time-sensitive environment where meeting deadlines and ensuring customer satisfaction are the ultimate goals. • Responsible, accountable with strong attention to detail, role-related accuracy and task follow-through. • General computer use experience and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
