Our federal client is proactively monitoring the safety of medical products after they have reached market by rapidly and securing access information from large amounts of electronic healthcare data such as electronic health records (EHR), insurance claims data and registries from a diverse group of data partners. The system uses a distributed data approach which allows the agency to monitor the safety of regulated products while being HIPPA compliant. We are seeking a Principal Investigator for this initiative.
The Principal Investigator will maintain project oversight and oversee the successful completion of project reports, objectives, and goals. The Principal Investigator will possess experience of epidemiologic, clinical medicine, pharmacy and statistical expertise to conduct and support high quality observational studies capable of informing regulatory decision making. Strong evidence of relevant experience includes:
+ A strong record of pharmacoepidemiology studies published in high-visibility peer-reviewed journals;
+ Experience conducting Phase IV safety studies for industry to meet FDA post-marketing commitments or requirements; or
+ Successful deliverables in other FDA-sponsored pharmacoepidemiology contracts involving analyses of longitudinal healthcare data. (Note: experience with FDA contracts involving spontaneous adverse event reports do not qualify).
+ A Ph.D./MD and 10 years of experience.
+ Experience working with federal agencies.
+ Experienced in leading teams
+ Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
+ Strongly preferred: Pharmaco-epi and/or drug background
