Job Description

SUMMARY

This person will be part of the team responsible for budgeting, reviewing critical agreements, and tracking key performance metrics for an NYSE listed REIT. This individual will work closely with the Vice President of Finance and other key business stakeholders.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare the annual budget: work across departments to update and upload budget files

· Research and analyze department budgets and actual vs. budget variances

· Prepare monthly operations reports on various aspects of the company

· Create financial models in excel to analyze leases, loans, agreements and contracts

· Review real estate documents (lease agreements, 3rd party contracts, abstracts)

· Assist in all other Finance responsibilities and other special projects.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

· 3 years of prior work experience in finance or accounting, preferably in real estate industry

· Demonstrates ability and motivation to learn quickly

· Strong working knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of MRI a plus

· Strong analytical skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product

· Ability to establish and effectively manage relationships with company stakeholders

· Self-motivated enthusiastic individual who works well in a team environment under tight deadlines

· Strong organization and time management skills to permit managing multiple projects at once
