Information Systems Tech Support Analyst 3 (7760)
Full-time position works 40 hours per week. Includes benefit package, including medical/vision/dental/long-term disability/basic life coverage after required waiting period.
This position will initially serve as database developer and project manager for the upgrade of Douglas County's fiscal accounting system. Position will be assigned solely to the upgrade project and will work with the project team across multiple County departments to ensure successful and timely project completion. After completion of project, position will be responsible for continued maintenance of database systems and other duties related to the position classification.
Essential Job Duties
+ Coordinate the implementation of a new countywide financial system (GL/AP/AR/PO), including configuration of software, configuration of database servers, data migration, and design of new processes;
+ Design, develop and assess SQL based applications that meet requirements;
+ Create, modify and design SQL Server Reporting Services (SRSS) reports, SQL data imports and exports, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
+ Have knowledge of and experience using various SQL to Excel integration technologies, including use of pivot tables and data cubes.
+ Have knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Report Builder or Crystal Reports for the creation and design of custom application reports.
+ Participate in the design and development of technical solutions that meet business requirements.
+ Create and schedule automated processes needed to transition to new system;
+ Create and implement procedures for database management, maintenance, and security;
+ Perform testing to ensure functionality and address errors/issues;
+ Responsible for ensuring all project deadlines are met on a timely basis, including coordinating with County staff and vendor to complete tasks necessary to meet deadlines;
+ Communicate effectively with County and vendor staff;
+ Assist with County-wide implementation of system/database changes
Regular and consistent attendance is required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and two years progressively responsible experience in database systems analysis, design, installation and maintenance OR a satisfactory equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
Desirable Qualifications:Experience as a SQL developer/administrator; excellent knowledge of SQL programming and servers, database structure and theory, and database backup and recovery procedures.
Work is performed in an office environment and requires hearing voice conversation, keyboarding, sitting, standing and walking.

Successful candidates for this position must also pass aCriminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check. The CJIS Clearance is done within the first 30 days of employment and is processed at no expense to the applicant/employee.
