As the HR Recruiter, you will:

  • Manage high volume, full life cycle recruiting process by attracting, screening and interviewing the very best candidates
  • Collaborate with hiring managers on intake of personnel requisitions to define and fully understand the ideal candidate profile
  • Write job ads that reflect the Donson Machine in order to attract ideal candidates; post job ads to appropriate internal & external job boards, social recruiting platforms, etc.
  • Develop screening criteria and prepare interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements based on current job analysis data
  • Develop interviewing resources and guidelines for Hiring Managers to reference throughout the hiring process
  • Communicate with positivity and enthusiasm when dealing with candidates at all points in the recruiting cycle, delivering world-class customer service
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and leaders, providing expert advice on recruiting best practices
  • Document interactions, outreach, and screening results as well as staffing metrics
  • Write professional, high quality communication pieces for projects/plans related to recruiting, employee retention, and training/development initiatives
  • Assist with job analysis and job description writing/updating
  • Collaborate with Talent & Development Manager/Director of HR as well as hiring managers to determine and prepare for future staffing and training needs
  • Assist in designing, delivering, and tracking various HR Compliance Training initiatives
  • Assist in implementing various employee retention and development initiatives
  • It will be expected that this role manage the recruitment campaigns on Zip-Recruiter and the Free addition of Indeed.com
  • Grants Managing of the newly founded Will and Cook County "On the Job" Training program and maintaining the relationships with these representatives
  • Managing of the newly founded effort and program of hiring Veterans through the state and Federal programs. This will require the filling and tracking of interviews and screening paper work.
  • Secondly the On-Boarding process of all new employees. This includes the screening of I9 for the Department of Homeland Security paper work along with setting up insurance program and direct deposit.
  • on-boarding process will include work place safety training and the additional development of our on the job training program
  • Those that are sponsored through the state and federal programs will have recording logs of hours and training completed to report to the state and federal agency.
  • Prep all documents for year-end reporting of the federal and Stated tax hiring incentives for our Office Manager and Accountant.
  • In-Regards to the ISO 9001-2015 HR compliance
  • Document organization of existing records and develop retention efforts for HR relation ISO requirements
  • Track all training programs and completion and record per ISO requirements
  • Work to develop job classification system and certification program with floor leads and management.
  • Payroll and benefits administration which deals with ensuring vacation and sick time are accounted for, reviewing payroll, workers comp, and participating in benefits tasks, like claim resolutions, reconciling benefit statements, and approving invoices for payment.

Qualified candidates will:

  • Have at least 3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing/warehouse multi-site environment
  • Have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods for both non-exempt and exempt level positions
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have experience in job analysis and writing/updating job descriptions
  • Have extensive knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Be a highly motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Be well versed in the acceptable practices of recruiting in a non-discriminatory environment
  • Be familiar with social media, resume databases and professional networks
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Have advanced attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Be an excellent performer; deliver high quality results consistently
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Be able to work well with and motivate a team
  • Be fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States
