The Director of Information Technology Operations is responsible for developing and maintaining the technology infrastructure for Alpine Intel. In conjunction with the Chief Technology Officer, the Director of IT Operations will develop and communicate any IT policies, procedures, and initiatives. This position will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Strategic Management
- Define overall IT Operations architecture and infrastructure for the company that addresses how existing and new IT/telecommunication systems will interface with each other and support Alpine Intel’s strategic plan.
- Serve as a strategic business partner for Senior Leadership, department heads, system users and other stakeholders to ensure maximum effectiveness of IT operations.
- Lead IT related activities based on company goals.
- Set short- and long-term department and implementation goals.
- Acts to ensure integrity of organizational-wide data, propriety information and related intellectual property through information security and access management (Physical and logical) while protecting sensitive data, systems, and applications from external threats.
- Prepare and present budget proposals for capital projects to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and stakeholders.
- Directly supervises and collaborates with team members in the IT Operations team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to: interviewing and making hiring recommendations, training team members, goal development, assigning and directing work, reviewing performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Ensures policies, Core Values, and other aspects of the culture are upheld and encouraged by all team members within the team. Be an advocate of the culture, supporting diversity, accountability, and other initiatives. Fosters a positive outlook for business and team.
- Ensures IT Operational activities, systems availability and performance are meeting business needs through constant monitoring of all systems and remain operation during business hours. Provide recommendations for upgrades and/improvements as needed.
- Manages through systems, providing detailed status reports and metrics to measure performance of both systems and team.
- Implement and maintain patch and vulnerability management programs.
- Direct the effective delivery of networks and disaster recovery systems and processes.
- Ongoing budget management; reviewing and approving invoices. Calculate costs of current and future IT systems.
- Management of key Vendor relationships, contracts, and service level management; including but not limited to: Telecom/ISPs, Cellular, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, and Managed Service providers.
- Manages numerous projects including new employee onboarding, employee offboarding, Security audits, network penetration tests, major software roll outs, and technology refreshes.
- Asset Management
- Accurately manage IT asset inventory and software licensing compliance.
- Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software to maintain compliance with policies.
- Ensures that physical inventory levels are monitored and replenished as needed.
- Arranges upgrades, migrations and replacements of hardware and software utilities.
- Support Center/Service Desk
- Leads the Support Center in planning, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining the enterprise server and desktop environment, and daily operations tasks.
- This includes management of Applications Support, Network and Security Specialists, System Administrators, Managed Service Vendors and all operational tasks.
- Maintain data associated with Support Desk functions; report, trend and analyze results to understand capacity and improve service delivery; provide root cause analysis on chronic issues.
- Monitor and provide IT Operations KPI scorecard reports for Executive Leadership.
- Supports and maintains effective relationships with users.
- Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support.
- Support the review of system architecture and recommending improvements to service delivery.
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting and audit requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Leads the Support Center in planning, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining the enterprise server and desktop environment, and daily operations tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems or related field.
- Experience in Google Suite/Workspace.
- Experienced and knowledgeable with productivity software such as Office 365 Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; works productively with wide range of people.
- Experience with ITIL business practices.
- Experience working with a broad spectrum of IT vendors.
- Experience with asset management.
- Must be knowledgeable and current on Information Technology trends and best practices to drive the continual improvement of the end user experience.
- Must be extremely well organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have the ability to quickly shift focus from project to project as the need arises.
- Must be service oriented with the ability to thrive in a team environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving, trouble-shooting, and decision-making abilities.
- Action-oriented and proactive, continually displaying a sense of urgency.
- Must be highly motivated with ability to express new ideas for process improvement and demonstrate the initiative to implement.
Physical Requirements:
- Works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
- Noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.
- Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
- Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 50 pounds.
