GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

 

Demand Planning Analyst manages inventory and supply planning for the business and ensure effective participation of the demand planning, supply chain and operations teams in the overall Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP). Planners work to develop, present, and recommend plans, solutions, and strategies associated to effective Sales and Operations Planning process development that are reviewed by all levels of the business.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

 

  • Develops, presents, and recommends plans, solutions, and strategies associated to effective Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process development.
  • Collaborates with Customer Service, Forecasters and Sales and to develop and implement inventory and supply plans to support new product launches, growth objectives, and daily production needs.
  • Models and maintains the inventory and supply network within the Logility supply planning tool.
  • Participates in special projects and programs created to promote Dole’s business strategies around demand planning and supply chain.
  • Prepares detailed documentation (process diagrams & reports) to monitor and assess efficiencies within demand planning that will be reported in the S&OP meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills

 

SKILLS:

 

  • 5-10 years working experience in inventory management, unless with Logility then 3-5 experience required.
  • Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with advanced enterprise wide planning tools (SAP, Logility).
  • Capable of adjusting behavior and communication style to successfully interact with others when addressing challenges.
  • Ability to utilize data visualization to drive engagement and action.
  • Working knowledge of analytical and transaction systems.
  • Demonstrates leadership behavior, a strong work ethic, and a compelling ability to think critically and problem solve.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for wider understanding.
  • Ability to conduct process gap analysis, report findings and suggest solutions to achieve optimization.
  • Ability to adapt area of responsibility processes to meet strategic company, operations, or marketing plans.
Required Experience

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

 

  • 5-10 years working experience in inventory management, unless with Logility then 3-5 experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience required

  • Certification or working toward certification as CPIM or CSCP by APICS preferred
