Doctor's Data, Inc. provides innovative specialty testing to healthcare practitioners around the world. The laboratory provides a wide array of functional testing to aid health care providers in decision making. The position requires a strong understanding of analytical chemistry testing along with experience in the use of chromatography instruments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares Biological Specimens for analysis performed on the HPLC, GC and the LCMS including inspecting specimen integrity, pH analysis, sample extraction, pipetting various volumes accurately

  • Prepare stock and working reagents used in the sample prep, quality control and analytical process, weighing dry reagents, mixing reagents

  • Identify problems that may adversely affect the testing performance, document and report all issues to the supervisor or senior staff and correct the issue if directed.

  • Basic maintenance, load or replace reagents and solution on the instruments, assist supervisor or senior member in maintenance steps, clean parts, replace parts

  • Analyze samples, including load sample onto auto sampler, run calibration of instrument, load sample information into instrument software, and perform integration to calculate results

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry from an accredited institution

  • Knowledge and experience in chemical principles and concepts with regard to chromatography

  • Ability to pipette with accuracy, experience with conducting basic laboratory procedures, including using an analytical balance, pH meter and syringe

  • Ability to complete assignments with high degree of accuracy and multitask with accuracy

  • Good written and oral communication skills and ability to read and understand technical documents

  • Basic math skills as it applies to science, including ratios, percents, dilutions and conversions

  • Computer and application experience, including word, spreadsheet and instrumentation.

  • Day shift, Monday-Friday schedule may vary due to production demands
