We are hiring a full-time:

Landscaping/Snow Removal Technician

Hours of work: 5 am - 1:30 pm (with occasional approved OT)

Days of work: Monday - Friday

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA

Responsibilities:

Perform Grounds Maintenance on approximately:

111 acres of improved grounds, flower beds, associated roads, parking lots, sidewalks, Tree trimming, and vegetation control of 200 yards of the fence line.

The responsibility of work includes but is not limited to the following:

• Snow/Ice Removal
• Snow Plowing
• Grass cutting
• Edging
• Leaf removal
• Soil aeration
• Maintain mulched areas
• Turf repair
• Pest control reporting
• Police grounds for Debris (such as any paper, paper by-product, plastic, Styrofoam, cans, containers, fallen branches, etc)
• Weed and vegetation control
• Fertilized and add soil amendments
• Special events and emergencies
• Maintain improved grounds
• Trimming and pruning tree/shrubs/hedges (no vegetation shall extent over any sidewalk or curb)
• Maintaining bedding and planted areas
• Maintain semi-improved grounds (include unimproved grounds)
• Areas without irrigation systems that require manual watering
• Ditch maintenance, removal of accumulated materials, vegetation removal and re-grading
• Other duties as assigned

Education

- High School Diploma or GED preferred:

Qualifications

- 2+ years of construction or groundskeeper experience required.

- Must demonstrate the ability to follow directions, produce quality work and maintain safe working conditions.

- Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.

-Must report to work on time

- Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance.

- Requires extensive and heavy physical activity and dexterity.

- Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions
