The Walt Disney Company's Direct-To-Consumer and International (DTCI) is a new, global business segment for The Walt Disney Company with the mission of providing consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms, at a time of rapidly-evolving consumer habits. Combining the Company's direct-to-consumer streaming services - ESPN+, the Disney SVOD service coming in 2019 -- alongside Disney's international media businesses, DTCI aligns cutting-edge technology with world-class content and beloved brands to expand the Company's global footprint and deliver highly-personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world.

This role will provide departmental support and assistance to the Marketing & Operations team for multiple initiatives for Disney+. The Coordinator, Marketing will assist with all day to day operations of the production department to ensure proper organization and tracking for multiple Disney+ exclusive movies, episodic series and marketing materials that will support those assets.


Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and schedule kickoff calls, weekly calls, and other necessary communication milestones.
  • Assist in reviewing production costs, maintaining all production documents, tracking all production schedules, and keeping all aspects of the production department organized.
  • Work with Marketing team to organize workflow with outside vendors.
  • Work with Finance Team to track costs on original productions and marketing spend.
  • Address any production matters that arise in a timely and professional manner.
  • Responsible for verifying and organizing all wrap files for all Disney+ productions.
  • Assist Manager, Marketing and VP, Marketing Operations with all day to day production needs.
  • Assist with creating, up-keeping, and managing the various Disney+ Production Manuals.
  • Inform changes in process and protocol within the department and across various teams.
  • Work closely with Business Affairs and Creative teams to coordinate the review of budgets, schedules, and creative concepts before greenlight and through production timeline.
  • Work closely with Post Production to ensure schedules, review process, and deliverables are outlined and maintained.
  • Work closely with Post Production to ensure marketing assets are delivered to various stakeholders on schedule and on budget.
  • Ensure all aspects of production run smoothly across multiple departments and goes above and beyond to take on additional responsibilities as they arise.
  • Act as the liaison between Disney departments (Risk Assessment, Content Security, Animals and Environment, etc.) and production companies.
  • Work with Marketing team to ensure creative and financial needs are covered throughout the production timeline.
  • Schedules weekly calls during production with set-visits as needed.
  • Work with Marketing team to coordinate set visits to shoot marketing and PR material. This is included but not limited to EPK material, behind the scenes material and interviews.
  • Ensure all clearance and legal approvals are obtained before final delivery.
  • Address, flag, and resolve any and all production matters that arise in a timely and professional manner.


Basic Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Cinema/Television or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in production of related field.
  • Ideal candidates should be collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable with multitasking and problem solving in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Extremely organized and process oriented with the ability to pivot when needed.
  • Working knowledge of marketing, physical production, post production, accounting, risk management, production legal, permitting and guild agreements.
  • Strong ability to coordinate the review of budgets and timelines for multiple projects to ensure projects are executed on time and on budget.
  • Can help coordinate multiple projects in varying stages of development and production.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills who can build strong working relationships with an ability to interface with varied levels of management, peers, and partners across varying teams.
  • Can prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly.
  • Passionate about their work and approaches challenges with a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Strategic thinker who is always pushing the needs of the business forward.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of the business necessities of a startup/launch property - experience defining and creating new systems or processes.
  • Worked in either a studio, network, or agency environment with working knowledge of the layers and processes behind production
