Discovery Life Sciences is a trusted provider of bioanalytic and biospecimen services to hundreds of customers across the U.S. and around the world. The Inside Sales Representative contributes to our mission by consistently closing new and repeat business from assigned territory accounts.


  • As part of the BioSpecimen Sales team - work with VP BioSpecimens VP, Account Directors to proactively execute performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones

  • Work with Account Directors to productively manage an opportunity pipeline (50+ open opportunities) and Feasibility case queue with updated next steps and feedback from customers

  • Proactively generate an opportunity funnel by continuously prospecting for leads in the territory.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients - communicate core competencies and ensure research needs are being met by engaging proper teams within the company to advance discussions.

  • Consistently advance calls and win business by setting clear next steps and properly executing those steps

  • Report market intel back to team (Management, Business Development, Marketing, etc.) by documenting sales calls and client feedback

  • Work cooperatively with Marketing and Feasibility to maximize sales success

  • Create and maintain opportunities, maintain the integrity of data in sales database, submit cases to feasibility and assist with the feasibility of an opportunity; create sales quotes, and close out purchase orders within SFDC

  • Present and help evaluate the workability of client projects with Discovery Life Sciences' procurement Feasibility Associates

  • Generate product inventory reports, account briefings, and other reports as needed

  • Become a subject matter expert in the procurement of human tissues in order to effectively discuss projects with R&D groups, business directors, legal departments and purchasing managers

  • Respect the privacy of the personal information of patients, co-workers, and all individuals with whom the Company interacts

  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its operations

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of biotech and/or sales experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Motivation to communicate directly with potential clients via both e-mail and phone

  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with clients and potential clients

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team

  • SPIN training preferred

  • Team-first attitude and passion to achieve Global Account Team and company-wide goals
