Job Duties/Description:

Discovery Life Sciences seeks an Associate Director, IHC Services responsible for providing oversight for the scientific conduct, timelines, business and management of Immunohistochemistry (IHC) services projects. Develops proposals of scientific experiments to be carried out along development of project timelines, and engages existing research partners to develop statements of work for new projects. Interfaces internally with scientists, billing, IT/Data, quality assurance, and report writing personnel regarding ongoing project deliverables and timelines. Coordinates the work of a team of Scientific Project Managers and laboratory personnel. Serves as a liaison to clients with regard to project deliverables. Engages potential new clients to answer queries for new SOWs, generate proposals, facilitate contracts, and CDS. Maintains staff through recruiting, hiring, orienting, and training employees. Maintains the privacy of personal information for patients, co-workers and all individuals with whom the Company interacts, and ensures compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its operations.

Minimum Requirements:

This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Genetics or a life sciences field, and five (5) years of academic or work experience in protein-based research. This position also requires demonstrated academic or work experience with: (i) protein-based experimental techniques; (ii) biomarker research; (iii) bright-field microscopy; (iv) fluorescence microscopy; (v) RNA-based research; (vi) multiplexing analysis of biomarkers; (vii) automated research platforms/equipment; (viii) universal precautions; (ix) bloodborne pathogens; (x) handling human specimens; and (xi) HIPAA and medical privacy policies.
