At Direct Learning Systems, we’ve experienced significant growth, providing the opportunity for us to open an entry level position for an organized communicator & creative to join our team.
In this new role as a Social Media Coordinator / Student Services Assistant at DLS, you will work with our Marketing Manager, using your skills to see short/long-term social media strategies through, and you’ll report to our Manager of Business Operations for all student services & operational tasks.
As a Student Services Assistant, you’ll perform duties related to student admission, retention, completion, and graduation. As our Social Media Coordinator, you’ll collaborate with Marketing, Education, and Development teams to improve brand awareness & community engagement, develop social media campaigns, and enhance course content.
Social Media Coordinator
Develop, curate, and schedule content for weekly posts to various social media platforms
Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content
Collaborate with Marketing team to develop a social media calendar
Engage & interact with users - respond to social media messages, questions, and comments
Execute a results-driven social media strategy
Review analytics and create reports on key metrics
Collaborate with Education and Development teams to enhance course content & curriculum
Student Services Support
Assist in supporting students by providing general administration duties, personal guidance, and academic support
Communicate with students via phone, email, chat, social media, and mail
Create and maintain student accounts through DLS’s database management system
Evaluate student satisfaction to continually improve current processes
Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward students and prospective students at all times
Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
1+ years Customer Service or related field
Post-Secondary education in English, Writing/Editing or related field
Proficient in MS office, Media Platforms, Excel, and Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets & Analytics)
Experience in Adobe (Photoshop, In-Design) and WordPress preferred
Ability to communicate well both written and verbally
Detailed oriented, self-motivated, and deadline driven
Highly organized, flexible, and accountable
Collaborative, with strong interpersonal and team building skills
Based on experience
