Job Description

We are looking to add Paralegal(s) and Legal Assistant(s) to our growing Real Estate team in our Naperville office. Knowledge and experience in Estate Planning and Probate is a plus.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

Prepares all closing and power of attorney documents
Calculates tax prorations, assessment prorations and per diem/interest on payoffs
Determine rent prorations, if applicable
Review contracts and obtain contract deadlines (attorney review, inspection, financing, association document review, contract by, close by, closing date)
Calculate bottom lines and balance closing statements
Prepares correspondence via email and or telephone with clients, brokers, title companies and lenders
Coordinate with attorney to sign any items needed in advance of closing
Process miscellaneous checks
Experience in corporate registrations is a plus
Other responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

Real Estate Experience required
Trust, Estate and Probate preferred
High School Diploma or the equivalent
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage high volume of files while meeting client deadlines
Effective communication
Strong attention to detail
