Finance Controller

Position: Finance Controller

Location: South Houston, TX - Hybrid (4 days in office and 1 day remote)

Type: Full Time

Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Finance Controller will have operational oversight of finance and accounting operations. The Controller will be working closely with other business and functional units within the organization and must be hands-on.

Responsibilities:

• Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Experience in Sales Commissions, Bonus, Group health insurance, Casualty, Workers Comp.
• Experience in Rental Business preferred.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage cash flow.
• Develop, document, and monitor business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems
• Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
• Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
• Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings
• ERP experience is highly desirable.
• Advising executives and stakeholders based on knowledge of the underlying business.
• Manage internal and external audits.
• Debt management.

Management:

· 8 direct reports, Accounts Payables, General Ledger. Team size expected to grow.

Basic Qualifications:

• CPA is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus
