DFI currently is accepting resumes for an immediate opening working as a consultant inspector for Baltimore County DPW. Jobsites can vary from day to day and can be in any region of Baltimore County. . The ideal applicants will have a minimum of 5 years experience in sewer and/or water systems and possess a through understanding of paving operations.
The applicant must have thorough knowledge of construction methods used to remove and replace existing aged supply systems. This knowledge shall include understanding by-pass systems, rehabilitation, relining, water sample collection, valve operation, shut down notifications, valve installation, pipe laying, restraint systems, fire hydrants, pressure testing, chlorination, flushing and service connections. NASSCO/NICET or similar certification is desirable and should be noted and supported in the applicants professional resume.
Resumes shall document relevant experience, certifications, and references. The applicant is also subject to annual background checks, random drug screening, and must have and maintain a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
In addition to the hourly rate, inspectors assigned to this task receive a generous monthly vehicle allowance. A $500 bonus is offered to a new hired employee, who has never previously worked for DFI, and maintains satisfactory employment throughout the initial probationary period of 90 days.
