Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:

Growing Newton-based Devaney Energy is seeking a positive, customer-centric Customer Service Representative. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service, communication, listening, problem-solving, time-management skills, and be a team player. We are a family-owned and operated energy company with over 85 years of delivering the highest level of service to our heating oil, propane, and equipment service customers. Responsibilities and Requirements:

●     Answer incoming customer calls regarding billing & service questions along with general customer concerns or questions

●     Perform customer service duties while maintaining a high level of professionalism and providing superior levels of customer care

●     Update customer information in our database during each call

●     Assist sales and marketing with various projects


Skills & Personal Attributes:

●     Must be 18 years of age or older with High School diploma/GED (required)

●     Fuel oil, propane, energy or heating/cooling industry is a plus

●     2-5 years’ experience in a similar role

●     Possess a positive, can-do attitude. Must be a team player

●     Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented

●     Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times

●     Excellent verbal and written communication skills

●     Good computer skills
