Senior ServiceNow Developer, #500

Clearance: USDA Public Trust or the ability to obtain a USDA Public Trust clearance

Dev Technology Group is looking to onboard a ServiceNow Application developer with specific, tangible experience in the following:
  • Service Portal Development
  • Custom Application Development on the ServiceNow Platform

What You'll Be Doing:

Serve as a ServiceNow developer on a cross-functional development team that develops custom applications and workflow solutions
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain a suite of SNOW applications
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in production and non-production systems
  • Learn new technical skills to meet the needs of the project and our customers
  • Design and develop custom applications on the Now Platform to meet business requirements, including implementation of client scripts, business rules, workflows, and custom Service Portal widgets
  • Partner with application teams to design and implement data interfaces with other enterprise application systems
  • Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs including advanced scripting of each
  • Develop and manage operational metrics reporting and dashboards
  • Collaborate with members of project teams to ensure successful, technically sound projects which are completed on time and on budget
  • Contribute to the development and analysis of customer requirements and assist with the development of user stories
  • Perform application testing
  • Create and maintain system design and operations documentation
  • Provide advanced application support to internal team members
  • Provide mentoring, training, and knowledge transfer to other employees as necessary, particularly regarding ServiceNow capabilities and development techniques
  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies and update Jira tasks daily

Required Education, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • ServiceNow certification; ServiceNow Systems Administration certification required
  • 2 or more years of development experience using the ServiceNow platform
  • Custom application development experience in one of the following areas: Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), IT Business Management (ITBM), and ITSM (IT Service Management)
  • In-depth knowledge of development on the ServiceNow Platform, including client and server scripting, ServiceNow REST API, and custom widget development in Service Portal
  • Experience developing, updating, and interpreting JavaScript on the ServiceNow platform
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow development and configuration best practices as well as database hierarchies and design
  • Experience with development, customization, and administration of multiple components of ServiceNow
