The Quality Engineer will work in compliance with company policies within the guidelines of Desert Tech. The Quality Engineer is also responsible for reviewing and analyzing data that is provided by the manufacturing and quality control teams. The Quality Engineer will also help with the continuous improvement on all quality processes and procedures. Assist in the review of newly developed products and ensure ECR's are followed up on for all products that require changes. Develop, report, and take action to improve metrics related to quality (i.e. cost of poor quality, non value added inspections, customer complaints, product non-conformances, etc.).

-Create Quality Inspection Plans
-Create policies and procedures
-Create quality reports for data gathering
-Create ECR's for changes on prints and Inspection Plans
-Knowledge of Quality Standards and practices
Bachelor's in MFG Eng., Mech Eng., or 6 years work experience equivalent. 2+ Years of experience working in an Quality Environment.
Experience with Firearms (Preferred)
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (Preferred)
ASQ Certified Yellow and or Green Belt (Preferred)
Lead MRB activities
Proficient in GD&T, Blue Print Reading
Knowledge of Inspection Equipment, Statistical Techniques
Program CMM's: PC-DMIS, etc.
Trained in Solid works
Knowledgeable in Excel, Adobe, Windows, etc.
Lead structured problem-solving activities (e.g. 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa) to resolve complaints, audit findings in a timely manner that prevents reoccurrence.
Help maintain and monitor the calibration system (Scheduling calibrations)
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Sit and or stand for long periods of time. desk, walking to other departments, bending, sitting, non-strenuous labor most of the time.
