Job Description

RREMC Restaurants, LLC (D.B.A. Denny’s Restaurant) is seeking an experienced General Manager to manage operations of a high-volume 24/365 family restaurant establishment. The General Manager will be responsible for overall restaurant operations execution, controllable profit plan achievement, guest count growth, and the sales building activities.

The General Manager organizes and directs the training, activity and performance of hourly and management staff to operate profitably and efficiently. Maximizes sales and profits by ensuring Brand standards of operations are achieved. As the General Manager you will recruit, train and supervise front and back of the house employees to ensure that the Brand Standard requirements are met and consistently maintained.

Placement in the Organization:

    • Reports to the District Manager

    • Direct reports include the Restaurant Manager and all hourly employees.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Directs restaurant operations with responsibility for guest service, Hospitality, brand standards execution, and employee training.

    • Achieves controllable profit and flow thru goals by overseeing all controllable cost and taking the appropriate corrective action to achieve the desire results.

    • Ensures timely implementation and ongoing execution of all company and corporate initiatives and marketing promotions.

    • Develops Restaurant Managers and hourly employees through Denny’s training programs, individual development plans, and assignments.

    • Ensures all equipment and facilities are in compliance with RREMC standards and takes corrective action when required.

    • Attracts, hires, and retains the best hourly talent to meet staffing requirements and customer service standards and expectations.

    • Shares responsibility with DM on attracting, hiring & developing Restaurant Managers to make a cohesive management team.

    • Proactively handles employee relations issues and deviations from brand standards; involves the DM and HR as appropriate to resolve issues.

    • Develops and executes the local store marketing plan to build relationships with civic, business, school, and professional organizations to drive sales and guest count growth.

    • All other task and duties as assigned.

      Qualifications Required:

    • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in restaurant management, additional operations and / or leadership experience preferred.

    • Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, but individual with high school diploma or equivalent and a proven, successful operations background will be considered.

    • Strong organizational skills with excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the RREMC organization.

    • Communicates effectively in the English language.

    • Food Safety Manager Certification required

    • Ability to identify and anticipate opportunities and implement corrective action steps.

    • Disciplined and flexible with the ability to adjust to changing local market and restaurant conditions while properly balancing work with personal life.

    • Solid financial and business acumen.

    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail.

    • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

    • Periodic travel to include occasional overnight travel.
