Civil Engineering / Project Manager

Delta Coast Consultants, LLC is searching for a licensed Professional Civil Engineer with Project Management experience in civil public works, water resources, coastal engineering, and/or land development projects. This position is primarily responsible managing all aspects of a civil engineering project including technical designs, calculations, and plans and specification production.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of other Engineers, Surveyors, and Designers to develop civil engineering plans and specifications for a variety of municipal and private infrastructure projects.
• Assist clients in developing flood protection, gravity and forced drainage systems, shoreline stabilization, habitat restoration, marsh creation, and land development projects.
• Manage all aspects of a project, but specifically responsible for technical design and plan and specification production.
• Serve as a technical design expert on civil engineering projects.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and environmental evaluations for Clients

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering with preference for concentration in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5-year civil engineering experience in H&H modeling, pump station design, flood protection planning, drainage design, structural design of marine and land-based structures, and/or coastal restoration type projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred or Engineer Intern with eligibility to sit for licensing required.
• Project management experience, including the development of proposals, scopes, budgets, and the successful execution and tracking of both small and large engineering projects.
• Experience solving moderately complex problems and ability to bring new perspectives on existing solutions.
• Experience in public works civil design, project management, and development of construction plans and specifications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to interact and communicate with Clients.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Storm & Sanitary Analysis, and Robot Structural is a plus.
• Experience in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or equivalent software a plus
